SOURCES & CORRECTIONS
Where all of this comes from.
Nagrik does not produce data. It collects records that Gurugram's civic bodies already publish — tenders, ward boundaries, officers' directories — and puts them on one map. Everything below is a public record. This page says exactly which one, and what to do when we get something wrong.
This is not an official government site.
Nagrik is an independent, non-commercial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, the Municipal Corporation of Manesar, GMDA, or any other government body.
Records here are copies, and copies go stale. Before you rely on anything — a tender value, a deadline, an officer's phone number — verify it with the corporation directly. Every record links back to its official source for exactly that reason.
What we take, and from where
MCG ward, zone, cluster and division boundaries
MCG's own live GIS backend — the one behind mcg.gov.in/map.
MC Manesar's 20 ward boundaries
GMDA OneMap's statewide Haryana ULB ward layer. A different upstream to MCG's — neither covers the other's wards.
Map overlays: parks, toilets, roads, sirens, sensors, sector boundaries
GMDA's public ArcGIS portal.
Tenders and awarded contracts
Haryana's NIC eProcurement portal, plus each body's own tender page (GMDA, DHBVN).
MCG officials and helplines
Municipal Corporation Gurugram.
MC Manesar officers and councillors
Municipal Corporation Manesar's officers directory and elected-members page.
GMDA officials
Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority.
Air quality and weather
The AQI number is computed from Open-Meteo's raw PM2.5/PM10 readings using CPCB's published National AQI breakpoints. It is not an official CPCB reading.
Place search
Only for landmarks. Sector searches resolve against our own boundary polygons, offline.

How current it is
Tenders, officials and helplines refresh nightly. Ward and zone boundaries change only when a corporation redraws them, so they are re-seeded on demand rather than on a schedule. A tender that disappears from the government portal is marked closed here — never deleted, because whether a promised work was actually delivered is the point.
What we will not do
We never invent a record to fill a gap. Where a corporation does not publish something — a councillor's phone number, a ward's zone — Nagrik shows nothing rather than a plausible guess. A blank here means the government has not published it, not that we forgot to look.
Officials' contact details
Nagrik republishes the names, designations, office phone numbers and official email addresses that MCG, MC Manesar and GMDA already publish in their own public directories. These are official points of contact for public duties, reproduced so a resident can reach the person accountable for their ward. No personal or private contact information is collected, inferred, or shown.
If you are named on this site and want your entry corrected, or believe it should not appear, write to us and we will act on it.
Get something corrected
Wrong number, wrong ward, wrong name, a tender attributed to the wrong agency — tell us and we will fix it, or explain why the record says what it says.
No correction mechanism has been configured yet. The site will update once it does — and once the portal has enough traction to justify it.
